Selfie Day FUN FACT: National Selfie Day has been celebrated since 2014, when DJ Rick McNeely established a day for the celebration of the now-ubiquitous “selfie.” This came only one year after The Oxford English Dictionary made “selfie” the word of the year in 2013. The word “selfie“ was first used in September 2002.
